Ritual Events

Jñanagni Kula offers a variety of ways to experience the power of ritual. Daily, monthly, and seasonal events are open to the public.

The practice of ritual in a community setting allows participants to experience a wider view.

At Yoga Mandala, pujas (devotional offerings) and yajna/homa (fire rituals) are done, along with larger more specific ceremonies performed on special occasions – such as Ancestor pujas, weddings, house blessings, etc. See our schedule of homas and pujas here.

Reminding ourselves of our Essential Nature via the vehicle of deity, guru, mahasiddha, or even cycles of time, widens our perspective beyond that of our individual experience.

In addition, the vocalization of classical mantras and chants and the performance of age-old ritualistic actions, all within a larger community of people with similar intent, helps to focus the grace of past enlightened masters and the Absolute, creating a stream of consciousness that can be accessed by all.

For an in-depth study of the nature and performance of ritual, please see our 5 Level Pujari Training Course offered once a year.
